Description
American Traveler is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist with neuro and stroke IR experience, ARRT registration, and BLS certification for a high-volume hospital setting.
Details
- Work in an interventional radiology/angiography unit equipped with Philips imaging systems
- Covers both pediatric and adult patient populations
- Average of 10-15 IR/angiography cases per day
- May assist with CT, ultrasound, and diagnostic procedures as needed
- 10-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, with alternating days off
- Weekday and rotating weekend call with a 30-minute response requirement
- Uses Epic EHR and PACS for documentation and imaging
- No local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius
Requirements
- Current ARRT registration is required
- Current BLS certification is required
- Neuro and stroke interventional radiology experience required
- Must have experience in neuro angiography beyond basic peripheral access, lines, or drains
- Experience with both pediatric and adult patients required
- Epic EHR experience required
- Ability to lift and carry up to 100 lbs occasionally
- Physical ability to stoop, kneel, climb, balance, bend, sit, walk, and stand for extended periods
- License required if applicable
Additional Information
- Assist licensed practitioner with specialized fluoroscopic and neuro-interventional procedures using sterile technique
- Administer contrast with a power injector and assess for adverse reactions
- Educate and provide instructions to patients and their families regarding procedures
- Responsible for pre, intra, and post-procedural documentation including verifying informed consent
- Must adhere to strict radiation safety protocols and standards
- May educate and supervise students and other healthcare providers on the unit
- Expectation to maintain inventory and ensure procedural requirements are met
- Pass/fail EKG testing will be required on the first day with study guides provided
- Exposure to blood, hazardous substances, or body fluids, and use of physical restraints may be required
- Interview process includes initial and manager rounds
