Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Emergency Department position in Texas requiring 1 year of recent ED experience and a compact or TX RN license.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Emergency Department setting
• Shift is 7:00 pm to 7:00 am
• 13-week contract assignment
• Provide comprehensive emergency nursing care to a varied patient population
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment
• Compliance with all assignment documentation and certification requirements is mandatory
• No Canadian SSNs accepted

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• Minimum of 1 year of recent Emergency Department RN experience
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications from AHA or ARC
• Current Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification or approved equivalent required for all ER units
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification required
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
• Must live more than 50 miles from the facility (no local candidates accepted)
• U.S. Social Security Number and Date of Birth required for consideration
• At least one professional reference required
