Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) position with night shifts and strong LDRP experience required.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital Maternity Care Center setting
• LDRP unit involving labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum patient care
• 12-hour night shifts from 7:00pm to 7:00am, three shifts per week
• Patients include mothers and newborns in all phases of perinatal care
• Requires ability to circulate for C-sections and triage obstetric patients
• Requires fetal monitoring and use of related equipment
• Coordinate and deliver patient care utilizing the nursing process for mothers and newborns
• Participate in education, planning, patient assessment, and interdisciplinary team evaluation
• Required to participate in point-of-care testing as needed for patient care
• Promote a safe, clean, and secure environment for patients, families, and staff
• Develop relationships with families to support patient advocacy and discharge planning
• Onboarding includes a background check and drug screening; prompt compliance with testing requirements is expected

Requirements

• Active NC or compact RN license required
• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum required
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NRP
• Experience with fetal monitoring is required
• Minimum education of Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN from an accredited school
