Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele Float Pool position requiring a MA RN license and strong telemetry skills.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Float Pool of a hospital environment
• Care for medical-surgical and telemetry patients as needed
• Night shift with 12-hour shifts
• Weekends and holidays are expected as part of the regular schedule
• Must float to like units and overflow areas as assigned
• Orientation is provided biweekly
• A passing score on tele/ECG and medication tests is required before starting assignment
• COVID vaccine with booster and flu vaccination are required, with medical exemptions allowed
• Charge nurse experience is preferred but not required
• Travelers must not reside within 50 miles of the facility
• Previous employees must have a 6-month separation from any Beth Israel Lahey Health facility for consideration

Requirements

• Active Massachusetts RN license in hand required
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum of 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience required
• Must be able to pass a Telemetry Competency Exam as part of onboarding
• Dysrhythmia and medication knowledge required, with testing administered prior to the assignment (one attempt only, 85% passing score)
• Professional development activities must be documented
