Job Description
American Traveler is hiring a CVICU RN with strong CCU and cardiac experience for 12-hour night shifts requiring a Massachusetts RN license and PA line proficiency.
Responsibilities
- Work within a hospital setting primarily based in the CCU with floating required to CVICU
- Care for critical cardiac and cardiovascular patients with a mix of surgical and medical cases
- 12-hour night shifts with every other weekend required
- Experience with pulmonary artery (PA) lines and transvenous pacing is necessary
- Preference for experience with mechanical circulatory support devices such as IABP and Impella
- Radiant EMR usage not specified; specifics of charting system will be discussed during interview
- Role includes the care and monitoring of complex cardiovascular patients, including use of advanced cardiac devices
- Weekly orientation sessions are held every Monday except on holidays
- Candidates are responsible for parking costs, which may be up to $43 per day
- All requests for time off must be submitted during the initial consideration process
- Holiday coverage expectations should be discussed during the interview
- First-time travelers are accepted for this position
Requirements
- Active Massachusetts RN license required at the time of consideration
- Current AHA certifications in BLS (CPR) and ACLS are mandatory
- Extensive recent experience in a CCU setting required
- Strong proficiency with PA lines and transvenous pacing required
- Experience with cardiac critical care, including mechanical circulatory support, preferred
- Cannot reside within 50 miles of the facility
- Must have been separated from any Beth Israel Lahey Health facility for at least six months to be eligible
- Completion of Tele/ECG and medication competency testing may be required
- COVID vaccine with booster and seasonal flu vaccination are required, with medical exemptions considered
