Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a skilled RN for a Medical-Surgical Telemetry position requiring a MA RN license and strong telemetry experience.
Responsibilities
- Work in a Cardiology Medical-Surgical Telemetry unit within a hospital setting
- Unit features six cardiac observation beds and one infusion room
- Patient population includes individuals requiring cardiac evaluation, monitoring, post-cardiology procedures, and heart failure care
- Hybrid department includes both inpatient care and same-day outpatient cardiology assessments
- Shifts are 12 hours, rotating between days and nights
- Every other Friday night or every third Saturday commitment required
- The unit is open 24 hours Monday through Saturday, closes Saturday at 3pm, and reopens Monday at 7am
- No work on hospital-observed holidays
- Primary responsibilities include providing highly coordinated nursing care to cardiovascular patients
- Works closely with attending physicians, nurse practitioners, and clinical colleagues
- Team environment with both inpatient and ambulatory care components
- Orientation provided on a biweekly basis
- All time-off requests must be submitted at the time of application
- Parking may cost up to $43 per day
Requirements
- Active MA RN license in hand
- Strong telemetry experience required
- Cardiology experience preferred
- Current BLS certification required
- COVID vaccine and booster required (medical exemptions allowed)
- Flu vaccine required during flu season
- Must pass Tele/ECG and medication tests
- Cannot reside within 50 miles of the facility
- Previous employees must have a six-month break from any Beth Israel Lahey Health facility for consideration
