Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) role with cardiovascular experience and night shift availability.
Responsibilities
- Work in a busy Progressive Care Unit (PCU) within a hospital setting
- Night shift schedule with 4x12 hour shifts from 18:30 to 07:00
- Option to work either 36 or 48 hours per week
- Patient ratios are 1:4 on a 55-bed unit
- Required to float to other units as needed
- Weekend shifts scheduled as needed on a rotating basis
- No on-call requirements
- Uses Epic documentation system; previous Epic experience preferred
- Responsibilities include providing specialized nursing care to cardiovascular and PCU patients
- No travel pairs or groups accepted for this assignment
- Scrub color is any, but must not have logos
- No more than 3 days of requested time off (RTO) will be approved automatically and no RTO allowed during the first week of orientation
Requirements
- Active NM or compact RN license required at the time of consideration
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- CPI certification preferred
- 1-2 years of progressive care or cardiovascular experience required; 2 years preferred
- Cardiovascular experience is mandatory
- Epic documentation experience preferred
- First-time travelers are accepted
- Locals living within a 50-mile radius are not eligible
- Former permanent staff must be separated at least 1 year to be eligible
