Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN to join the Critical Care Float team, caring for ICU/IMCU patients on night shifts with a GA or compact RN license required.

Responsibilities

• Work as a Critical Care Float RN in a hospital setting, covering ICU and IMCU units
• Care for patients with diagnoses including pneumonia, sepsis, renal issues, pancreatitis, post-general and ortho surgeries, COPD, COVID-19, GI cases, and sickle cell crisis
• Night shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts per week (19:00-07:00)
• Required to work every other weekend
• Floating within the facility and scope of practice is required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Locals accepted at the same rate
• Assignment requires working major holidays according to a specific holiday rotation rule
• Must not request time off during the first week; maximum of 7 days of requested time off allowed
• Perm/PRN staff must be away for one full year from all Piedmont facilities to return as a traveler
• Returning travelers must complete a successful assignment outside the system before returning, if previously ineligible
• No blocked scheduling is permitted
• Travel pairs will not be assigned to the same shift or unit
• First time travelers are welcome to apply

Requirements

• Active GA or compact RN license required
• Minimum of 1 year of recent critical care experience
• Two supervisory references required for consideration
• Full compliance required prior to start
