Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Radiology Technologist - X-Ray with at least 1 year of recent experience and current ARRT R and BLS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital radiology department performing X-ray procedures for adult acute care, adult outpatient, and pediatric outpatient populations
• Handles bedside/portable procedures, operating room cases, and trauma imaging
• Typical ratios are 1:8 during days, 1:6 at night, and 1:2 on weekends
• Utilizes Siemens DR rooms, Philips GI rooms, GE c-arms, and Carestream portable equipment
• EMR used is Epic; experience preferred
• Shift schedule includes Saturday 7:30 AM – 8:00 PM, Sunday 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM, and Monday 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM
• Required to cover 2 call shifts per month
• No local candidates permitted within a 50 mile radius
• Orientation consists of 24 hours
• Scrubs are provided
• Responsibilities include performing imaging procedures across multiple body systems and supporting OR cases
• Team structure supports both adult and pediatric patients
• RTO is limited to 1 week per contract
• Unit accepts first-time travelers
• No pending licenses accepted
• Block scheduling may be accommodated but is not guaranteed
• Call-off policy allows up to 3 shifts per 13-week assignment

Requirements

• Current ARRT R and BLS certifications required
• Minimum of 1 year X-ray technologist experience
• Demonstrated proficiency with a variety of radiographic procedures and specialized equipment listed
• Experience in acute care, outpatient, and OR settings needed
• Ability to perform portable and trauma imaging
• EPIC EMR experience preferred
• Must be able to accommodate a block schedule if needed
• License required if applicable
