Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Med/Surg RN with Indiana or compact licensure, requiring BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and telemetry experience for a night shift assignment.

Responsibilities

• Position is on the Medical Surgical unit in a short-term acute care hospital setting
• Night shifts are 3x12 hours from 18:00 to 6:30
• Minimum of 3 weekends required within a 6-week schedule
• Patient ratio is typically 1:5
• Care includes both adult and pediatric patients
• Meditech is used for electronic charting
• Possibility of floating to other units depending on hospital needs
• Possibility of being placed on call
• PALS certification must be in hand before starting due to pediatric admissions
• First-time travelers are accepted for this position
• If a shift is called in, the traveler must pick up another shift to compensate
• Travelers are considered local if residing within 50 miles
• Dress code allows any scrub color as long as professional appearance is maintained
• Returning employees may be subject to restrictions if employed by the client in the past 12 months

Requirements

• Active IN or compact state RN license
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications required
• At least 1 year of RN experience required
• Telemetry experience is required
• Ambulatory and Med/Surg experience preferred
