Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position in a high-acuity Surgical Oncology unit, requiring a FL or compact RN license and AHA BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Work in a 30-bed high-acuity Surgical Oncology unit within a hospital setting
• Patient population includes oncology patients requiring chemo administration, symptom management, and post-surgical care
• Day shift from 06:45 to 19:15
• Every other weekend and Easter holiday required
• 13-week contract with options for 36–48 hours per week
• Responsibilities include chemotherapy administration, symptom management, and post-surgical oncology care
• All positions are auto offer
• Local candidates are accepted but may be offered at a reduced rate according to the facility's radius rule
• RTO requests should be disclosed during application
• Two professional references are required
• COVID vaccination is not currently required

Requirements

• Active FL or compact RN license
• Minimum 1 year of relevant nursing experience
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Nursys verification and license verification required within 30 days before the start date
• NIH Stroke Scale certification preferred
• Chemo certification preferred
• Candidates must provide a US Social Security Number and US home address
• Copy of Driver’s License required
