Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift ICU position requiring a GA or compact RN license and 18 months of recent critical care experience.
Responsibilities
- Position is in the ICU within a hospital setting
- Unit: Medical 5E (intensive care patient population)
- Night shifts with 12-hour rotations
- 13-week contract assignment
- No on-call requirement
- Strict limits on requested time off: maximum of 5 days unless near a holiday, in which case maximum is 3 days
- Only one holiday request is allowed during the assignment
- Several days of requested time off during holidays will not be approved; days off must be spread apart
- Returning employees must follow separation guidelines before being considered
Requirements
- Active GA or compact RN license in hand
- Minimum of 18 months recent ICU experience
- Candidates must live at least 50 miles from facility; local candidates are not eligible
- Former permanent staff must be separated from the health system for 1 year, or 18 months if returning to the same facility
