Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Stepdown position requiring a FL or compact RN license and 2 years of stepdown or intermediate care experience.

Details

• Work in a high-acuity 30-bed Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Stepdown setting
• Care for complex patients including post open heart, post TAVR, post pacemaker, drip titrations, chest tubes, and BiPAP
• 12-hour day shifts from 06:45 to 19:15
• Weekend shifts are required every other weekend
• Easter holiday coverage is required
• Contracts may be for 36 to 48 hours per week

Requirements

• Active FL or compact state RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of recent stepdown or intermediate care RN experience
• Current certifications in BLS and ACLS from the American Heart Association
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required (annual or biennial update depending on group)
• Must provide Nursys license verification within 30 days prior to start
• Must possess a valid U.S. Social Security Number and U.S. home address

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include the care of patients with complex cardiac and respiratory conditions
• Provide titration of drips and management of post-cardiac surgery interventions
• All positions are automatic offer with no interview requirement
• Local candidates are accepted at a reduced rate with variable radius rule by state
• Must provide a copy of driver’s license and two separate professional references
• COVID-19 vaccination is not required
• Discuss contract extensions with your manager 45 days before contract end date
