Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position caring for mixed acuity MS and PCU patients, with EPIC and BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Position is in a hospital-based Med/Surg Telemetry unit with mixed acuity including PCU and MS patients
• Patient ratio is 1:5
• Unit uses Epic EMR and experience is required
• Shift is night (3x12 hours, 19:00-7:30), with potential for day/night rotation per department needs
• Float required to units of equivalent or lower acuity
• Self-scheduling requests accepted prior to final schedule posting
• First week of orientation is Monday through Friday on dayshift, followed by 36 hours of on-unit orientation with a preceptor
• Must provide two professional references from a supervisor within the past two years
• All scheduling requests must be submitted up front
• No prior break required between assignments except for Sterile Processing Techs
• First-time travelers may be considered

Requirements

• Active OH or Compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Current BLS certification required
• Epic EMR proficiency required
• Proficiency in IV starts, telemetry, and tracheostomy management required
• Oncology experience and previous travel RN experience preferred
