Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN with charge experience, a KY or compact RN license, and 2+ years of recent ICU background.

Responsibilities

• Work in the ICU/CCU of an acute care hospital
• Required to work both charge and staff RN roles
• Typical patient ratios are 1:5 to 1:6, subject to census
• Meditech EMR is used; experience preferred
• 36/48 rotating schedule with 12-hour day shifts from 07:00 to 19:30
• Bi-weekly orientation provided
• No floating or call requirements specified
• Must be prepared to function in both charge and bedside roles as needed
• Holiday and weekend coverage may be expected as part of rotation
• Dress code and scrub color not specified; inquire during interview
• First-time travelers considered if all criteria met
• Travel pairs are not accepted

Requirements

• Active KY or compact RN license required
• Current AHA BLS certification required
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU RN experience
• Charge RN experience required and must be able to work in charge capacity
• Must reside at least 100 miles from the facility to be considered
