Job Description
American Traveler is hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with 2+ years of experience and active CNMT and BLS certifications.
Responsibilities
- Work in an acute care setting within the Nuclear Medicine department
- Procedures include cardiac, SPECT, bone scan, bleed studies, and gastric emptying studies
- Department is equipped with 1 GE scanner room
- Average of 5-10 scans or studies per day
- Day shifts are 8 hours each, scheduled as 5x8s, including every other weekend
- May float to a nearby facility approximately 6.5 miles away
- On-call requirements after 4:30 PM on weekdays, rotating weekends, and holidays
- Uses Cerner EMR, Radnet, and Merge Unity for PACS
- Lead technologist available for supervision and support
- Main responsibilities include performing nuclear medicine scans and related imaging studies
- No requirement to start IVs in this role
- Lead technologist provides day-to-day department leadership
- Rotating call coverage required for holidays and weekends
- Scrub color for this assignment is teal
- First to float policy applies as needed
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
- Active BLS certification through AHA or ARC
- Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) via NMTCB required
- Experience with GE equipment and relevant nuclear medicine studies
- License required if applicable; must be active at the time of consideration
- Two professional references: one from a supervisor within the last 12 months and one from a peer or supervisor within the last 3 years
- Copy of driver’s license required
