Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position in a Level 1 Trauma hospital with variable shifts and call requirements.

Responsibilities

• Work in an 18-bed Operating Room at a Level 1 Trauma hospital
• Perform care for a range of surgeries including General, Robotic, Laparoscopic, Trauma, Orthopedic, Neurosurgery, Spinal, Ophthalmology, ENT, Plastics, Burns, Urology, GYN, and Transplant
• Variable shift position with options for 8, 10, or 12 hour shifts on days or evenings
• Call required Monday through Friday from 21:00 to 6:30, and Saturday/Sunday 6:30–19:00 and 19:00–6:30
• Holiday and weekend coverage may be required based on unit needs
• Utilizes EPIC for patient documentation
• Circulate with a focus on Orthopedic, Neurosurgery, Spine, and General Surgery cases
• Work as part of a multidisciplinary surgical team
• Preferred experience includes ENT, GU, Plastics, and Burns
• First-time travelers will be considered

Requirements

• Active RN license in Ohio or compact state
• Minimum of 2 years of OR RN experience
• Previous experience in a Level 1 trauma center required
• BCLS certification required
• EPIC experience required
