Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring Epic experience and the ability to float and take call.

Responsibilities

• Hospital setting in the Women & Children unit specializing in Labor & Delivery
• 12-hour day shifts with a requirement to work every other weekend or as needed by the unit
• Requires the ability to float to other units as needed
• On-call required for 2 twelve-hour shifts within a rolling 4-week period
• Must work 2 out of the following 4 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, and New Year's Day
• Uses Epic EMR; recent Epic experience within the past 2 years is required
• Provide labor, delivery, and immediate newborn care, including participation in neonatal resuscitation and post-delivery newborn medication administration
• No block scheduling permitted for this assignment
• Bi-weekly orientation sessions are available on Mondays
• A personal vehicle or rental car is strongly recommended due to the lack of public transportation in the area
• Vehicles should have all-season or snow tires from November through April
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position

Requirements

• Active VT or Compact RN license
• Current BLS and NRP certifications required; ACLS, PALS (or PEARS), and STABLE preferred
• Minimum 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery and LDRP experience
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Recent experience as a baby nurse at delivery with neonatal resuscitation, APGAR scoring, and administering newborn medications post-delivery
• Ability to provide complete work history including unit size, EMR, and facility type
