Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an ICU assignment requiring Level 1 trauma center and multi-ICU experience with a WI or compact RN license.
Responsibilities
- Work in an ICU setting within an academic Level 1 Trauma Center
- Care for adult critical care patients, including Neuro ICU, Cardiothoracic, Burn ICU, Trauma Surgery, and other ICU populations
- May float to IMC/Progressive/General care units as needed
- Night and evening shifts available (8/12-hour shifts from 1900-0730)
- Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
- No on-call responsibilities
- Travelers may be scheduled in multiple units and/or locations within the organization
- Epic EMR used and recent experience required
- Provide critical nursing care to a diverse adult patient population across various ICU specialties
- Must be willing to float and adapt to assignments across different units or locations depending on staffing needs
- Permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the primary worksite
- Work in a Magnet® designated hospital with a strong academic and teaching environment
- Holiday rotation coverage is required
- Successfully passing a telemetry assessment is mandatory before starting
Requirements
- Active WI or compact RN license from permanent address state
- BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association required
- Minimum two years of acute care experience within the past three years
- Prior travel assignment of at least 13 weeks must be completed
- Experience in multiple adult ICU units required
- Prior experience in an academic Level 1 trauma center required
- Basic arrhythmia experience and ability to pass a telemetry test prior to start
- Epic EMR experience required, preferred within the last 12 months
