Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an ICU assignment requiring Level 1 trauma center and multi-ICU experience with a WI or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

• Work in an ICU setting within an academic Level 1 Trauma Center
• Care for adult critical care patients, including Neuro ICU, Cardiothoracic, Burn ICU, Trauma Surgery, and other ICU populations
• May float to IMC/Progressive/General care units as needed
• Night and evening shifts available (8/12-hour shifts from 1900-0730)
• Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Travelers may be scheduled in multiple units and/or locations within the organization
• Epic EMR used and recent experience required
• Provide critical nursing care to a diverse adult patient population across various ICU specialties
• Must be willing to float and adapt to assignments across different units or locations depending on staffing needs
• Permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the primary worksite
• Work in a Magnet® designated hospital with a strong academic and teaching environment
• Holiday rotation coverage is required
• Successfully passing a telemetry assessment is mandatory before starting

Requirements

• Active WI or compact RN license from permanent address state
• BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association required
• Minimum two years of acute care experience within the past three years
• Prior travel assignment of at least 13 weeks must be completed
• Experience in multiple adult ICU units required
• Prior experience in an academic Level 1 trauma center required
• Basic arrhythmia experience and ability to pass a telemetry test prior to start
• Epic EMR experience required, preferred within the last 12 months
