Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg night shift position in Michigan, requiring strong ortho experience and an active MI RN license.

Responsibilities

• Work in a Med/Surg unit within a hospital setting
• Night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:15 AM, 12-hour shifts
• Required to work every other weekend and holiday
• No on-call responsibilities
• Position is open to both local and travel candidates with a 50-mile radius restriction for local travelers limited to one 13-week contract
• Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individual patient care according to established guidelines
• Oversees delegation of specific patient care tasks to unit staff
• Daily responsibilities include developing and updating care plans and documenting patient care and assessments
• Dress code and orientation details will be provided upon assignment
• No more than 5 days of requested time off will be considered

Requirements

• Active MI RN license required, verified through LARA or Nursys
• Current AHA BLS certification required
• Minimum of 2 years recent Med/Surg experience required
• Strong ortho experience required
• Submission of work history, skills checklist for Med/Surg within the last year, and two supervisory references from the last two years required
