Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for a rehab setting, requiring at least 1 year of experience and Missouri state licensure.

Responsibilities

• Position is in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility setting
• Work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8-hour day shifts with start times between 6:00 AM and 10:00 AM, as coordinated with the Director of Rehab
• Weekend work not required except when making up hours for holidays falling on weekdays
• No on-call requirements
• Electronic documentation system used for all clinical records
• Responsible for patient screening, evaluation, wound care, and development of individualized plans of care
• Utilizes standardized assessments and evidence-based interventions
• Performs manual techniques, therapeutic modalities, ambulation, and use of assistive devices as needed
• Documents treatments and progress within regulatory and practice guidelines
• Provides patient and family education and consultation, and communicates with the interdisciplinary care team
• Provides discharge summaries and maintains accurate records according to policies
• Supervises and supports PT assistants, aides, or students as needed
• Adherence to APTA and state regulations is required
• Participation in required meetings and training sessions
• Requests for more than 7 days of time off are not permitted

Requirements

• Active Missouri PT license required; compact licenses accepted if applicable
• Minimum of 1 year of PT experience required
• Experience in LTC or SNF settings required
• New graduates may be considered if they have Level II experience
• At least one professional reference required for consideration
