Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with at least 1 year of experience for an outpatient setting, with EPIC EMR required and state or compact licensure needed.

Responsibilities

• Work is in an outpatient physical therapy setting
• Patients have neuromuscular, orthopedic, and other physical conditions requiring therapeutic interventions
• Hours are 8am to 5:30pm, with 1 weekend shift every other weekend
• May be required to work flexible hours including weekends, holidays, and after-hours shifts
• Expected to float to other areas or sites as needed
• Uses EPIC for electronic medical records
• Duties include a variety of therapeutic interventions such as ADL retraining, patient education on home safety, adaptive equipment training, strengthening exercises, manual therapy, aquatic therapy, and neuromuscular re-education
• Engage in documentation, program development, teaching, and enhancement of clinical skills
• 12 hours of orientation provided; clinicians must be in-state for orientation week even if initial modules are remote
• Dry Needling Certification is only required if performing dry needling
• Scrub or dress code requirements are not specified
• There is a 60-mile radius rule for eligibility; candidates must live at least 60 miles from the facility
• Returning candidates must not have been employed by CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity Health facilities within the past year

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of physical therapy experience required
• Active Physical Therapist state or compact (NLC) license is required at time of consideration; license required if applicable
• Current BLS certification required (AHA or ARC accepted)
• Prior experience with direct patient care in outpatient, inpatient, or inpatient rehab units preferred
• Experience with EPIC EMR preferred
• Driver’s license must be provided for consideration
• Two professional references required: one supervisor within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor within the last 3 years
