Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Ultrasound Technologist with ARDMS credentials and a minimum of 3 years' acute hospital experience.
Responsibilities
- Work in a hospital imaging department performing general, OB/GYN, small parts, and vascular ultrasound exams
- Patient populations include adult, pediatric, and neonatal
- Procedures include abdominal, GYN, OB, neonatal head, superficial structures, vascular studies, biopsies, aspirations, drainage, and intraoperative scans
- Uses Canon i700 ultrasound system, Meditech EMR, and Fuji Synapse PACS
- Variable 40-hour per week shifts with on-call as appropriate
- May float to other units or departments as needed
- Personal scrubs or healthcare professional attire required
- Employee Health appointment required 48-72 hours prior to assignment start
- Plan to arrive on island Thursday before a Monday start to complete compliance process
- Call responsibilities vary depending on department needs
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years' acute care hospital experience as an ultrasound technologist
- Current ARDMS credentials in AB, OB, and RVT required
- Active AHA BLS certification required
- Proficiency in abdominal, OB/GYN, vascular, small parts, and neonatal ultrasound studies
- Ability to perform ultrasound-guided procedures such as biopsies and aspirations
- License required if applicable
