Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Ultrasound Technologist with ARDMS credentials and a minimum of 3 years' acute hospital experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital imaging department performing general, OB/GYN, small parts, and vascular ultrasound exams
• Patient populations include adult, pediatric, and neonatal
• Procedures include abdominal, GYN, OB, neonatal head, superficial structures, vascular studies, biopsies, aspirations, drainage, and intraoperative scans
• Uses Canon i700 ultrasound system, Meditech EMR, and Fuji Synapse PACS
• Variable 40-hour per week shifts with on-call as appropriate
• May float to other units or departments as needed
• Personal scrubs or healthcare professional attire required
• Employee Health appointment required 48-72 hours prior to assignment start
• Plan to arrive on island Thursday before a Monday start to complete compliance process
• Call responsibilities vary depending on department needs

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years' acute care hospital experience as an ultrasound technologist
• Current ARDMS credentials in AB, OB, and RVT required
• Active AHA BLS certification required
• Proficiency in abdominal, OB/GYN, vascular, small parts, and neonatal ultrasound studies
• Ability to perform ultrasound-guided procedures such as biopsies and aspirations
• License required if applicable
