Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring a PA or compact license, BLS, NIHSS, and Epic experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Night shifts, 3x12 hours from 18:45 to 7:15
• Every other weekend and holiday coverage as needed
• Floating may be required, including to rehab units if needed
• Care for both general med/surg tele patients and possible COVID patients
• Uses Epic EMR; previous Epic experience is required
• General care for med/surg and telemetry patients with varying diagnoses
• Possible assignment to COVID-positive patients as needed
• Facility is tobacco and fragrance free
• Maximum of 7 days requested time off allowed for this assignment
• Holiday RTO guidelines must be followed
• Holiday and weekend shifts are required as assigned

Requirements

• Active PA or compact RN license required
• Minimum of 2 years RN experience in relevant setting
• Current NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications required
• Experience with Epic EMR required
• First time travelers will be considered
