Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Neuro/Surgical ICU position requiring an active NY license and EPIC experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Surgical and Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit
• Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Care for post-surgical and neurocritical patients in an ICU setting
• Use of EPIC EMR is required
• No local candidates accepted from specified counties within a 50-mile radius
• No blocked scheduling accepted
• Competency testing for ICU must be completed with two attempts to pass
• Medical documentation is required for any flu vaccine exemptions; personal or religious exemptions are not accepted
• More than three call outs in a 13-week contract results in termination, and makeup shifts are required within six weeks of the call out
• Requests for time off must be submitted with your application
• Travel pairs are not permitted
• Travelers may apply to only one position at this facility

Requirements

• Active NY State RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience in the relevant specialty required
• Current certifications from AHA or RQI: BLS and ACLS are required
• EPIC charting experience required
• No gaps in work history equaling 90 days or more in the past 12 months
• Must have valid US Social Security Number (no Canadian SIN accepted)
