Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Telemetry RN with a MO or compact license, strong telemetry and EPIC charting experience, and the ability to work night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital Telemetry unit with an average daily census of 16 adult and geriatric patients
• Patient population includes total joint replacement, neuro spine, general surgery, wounds, diabetic, medical COVID, and oral surgery cases
• Nurse-to-patient ratio ranges from 1:4 to 1:6
• Night shift (3x12 hours), including every third weekend
• Floating required between Progress West and St. Peters facilities as needed
• EPIC charting system in use; prior EPIC experience required
• Block scheduling is not accommodated
• Responsibilities include providing telemetry nursing care for a diverse adult and geriatric patient population
• Scrub color is navy
• No cost for parking
• Modules and orientation provided with paid prep time before start
• No more than 7 days of RTO allowed per 13-week contract; no RTO during the first week of orientation
• All standard travelers may stay for up to 18 months with a required 3-month break after this period

Requirements

• Active MO or compact RN license required
• BCLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum of 2 years' recent telemetry RN experience required
• Tele experience required
• EPIC charting experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• No local candidates accepted within a 75-mile radius
• Pending license considered
• Permanent employees must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
