Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an Occupational Therapist for an inpatient rehabilitation unit, requiring BLS and a minimum of 1 year of inpatient experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in an inpatient rehabilitation unit at a community hospital
• Day shift schedule: 5x8 hour shifts, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
• Open to local candidates at the same rate
• Candidates must not have been employed by the facility within the previous 12 months
• Facility is a drug- and tobacco-free workplace; smoking is not allowed on campus
• Natural nail policy is enforced
• Not all holidays are guaranteed off; time-off requests must be submitted for consideration
• Team members are expected not to work over 40 hours per week without managerial approval
• Pre-employment fingerprinting is required for select specialty areas as per Virginia state code

Requirements

• Active State OT license required if applicable
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 12 months experience as an Occupational Therapist in an inpatient setting
• Graduation from an accredited OT program (diploma, associate, or BSN accepted; ACEN or CCNE accreditation required)
