Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a night shift Emergency Department position requiring a FL or compact license and ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, and TNCC certifications.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Emergency Department with a patient ratio of 1:4
• Night shifts with three 12-hour shifts per week, 7:00pm to 7:00am
• Required to work 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule cycle
• On-call is required as needed
• Floating required to all four area locations
• Uses EPIC for documentation
• Must wear scrubs in any solid color, with matching top and bottom, and no logos or prints
• Free parking provided with decal at orientation
• Employees and contracted travelers must wait one year after leaving an internal contracted position before reapplying
• All requests for time off must be finalized prior to offer; additional RTO will not be accepted post-offer
• Locals are accepted at the same rate as travelers

Requirements

• Active FL or compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum of 1 year recent ER experience required
• Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC
• CPI certification preferred
• Two references from authority figures (Manager, Supervisor, Charge Nurse, or Director) within the last year required
• Flu vaccine required from 10/31 to 3/31 unless medical or religious exemption is granted
• First-time travelers are not accepted
