Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiac Telemetry position with night shifts, requiring a NC or compact RN license and cardiac telemetry experience.

Responsibilities

• Position is in the Cardiac Telemetry unit in a hospital setting
• Primary patient population includes those with congestive heart failure, rule-out myocardial infarction, acute coronary syndrome, arrhythmias, and respiratory problems such as COPD and pneumonia
• Three 12-hour night shifts per week (7:00 pm - 7:00 am)
• Every other weekend and holiday coverage as needed
• Floating to other units required as needed
• Uses Epic EMR and prior Epic experience is mandatory
• Responsibilities include the management of cardiac and respiratory patients, including those with heart failure, respiratory failure, NSTEMI, COPD, and pneumonia
• No study materials for the EKG exam will be provided; candidates should prepare in advance
• First time travelers are welcome to apply

Requirements

• Active NC or compact RN license required
• A minimum of 2 years RN experience is required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Prior experience in cardiac telemetry required
• Must pass a pass/fail EKG exam during compliance, with two attempts allowed
• Epic EMR experience is mandatory
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles away from the facility
