Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position with strong cardiac drip experience and a requirement to work nights and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Hospital-based Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Night shift, 3x12 hours, 18:45-07:15
• Care for adult patients requiring telemetry and cardiac drip management
• Required to float to all inpatient units as needed
• No on-call responsibilities
• Must work every other holiday and every other weekend
• Local candidates not accepted; must live at least 65 miles away
• Potential assignment to an Emergency Team with mandatory facility presence during events
• Must be comfortable reporting to work as directed by the unit manager during emergencies
• Block scheduling is not accommodated on this unit
• RTO requests must be included on the application and discussed during interview; failure to do so may result in offer withdrawal

Requirements

• Active LA or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Tele experience required
• BLS certification required through AHA
• ACLS certification required if applying for charge RN position
• Experience in managing cardiac drips required
• First-time travelers will not be considered
