Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift ICU position requiring strong IABP and CRRT skills.

Responsibilities

• Position is based in the ICU of a hospital setting
• Manages critically ill patients with multisystem organ dysfunction or failure
• Patient population requires frequent airway management, vent care, and continuous IV sedation
• Nurse-to-patient ratios range from 1:1 to 1:2+
• Night shifts (three 12-hour shifts per week, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
• Uses computerized charting systems
• Must demonstrate expertise in managing patients with complex organ dysfunction
• Responsibilities include ventilator and isolation precautions management
• Requires two professional references for consideration
• A copy of driver’s license and SSN are required for onboarding
• Holiday and weekend coverage may be required as per needs of the unit

Requirements

• Active KY or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications are mandatory
• Minimum of 1.5 years recent ICU experience
• Strong proficiency with IABP and CRRT required
• Experience in airway management, central and arterial line management, management of IV drips, titration of IV vasopressors, and interpreting ABGs and dysrhythmias
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required
