Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Interventional Radiology position in an oncology procedural suite with required IL RN license and at least two years of IR experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in an Interventional Radiology unit specializing in oncology procedures
• Care includes pre- and post-procedure prep and recovery, plus procedural support
• Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• On-call responsibilities are required
• Utilizes Pyxis medication system and Epic EMR
• Scrubs are provided
• Primary responsibilities include administering moderate sedation, prepping and recovering patients, and assisting with interventional procedures
• Collaborate closely with radiologists in a procedural room environment
• Chemoembolization, percutaneous hepatic angiography, pulmonary embolization, and ventilator monitoring experience preferred
• Work in an oncology-focused setting supporting complex interventional procedures

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of Interventional Radiology nursing experience required, 5 years preferred
• Current AHA-issued ACLS and BLS certifications (no HeartCode)
• Proficiency in pre- and post-procedure care, moderate sedation, and recovery
• Experience required with procedures including gastrostomy tube placement, liver ablation, paracentesis, nephrostomy, renal artery stent placement, lung biopsy, pulmonary angiography, thoracentesis, central venous access/port placement, procedural sedation monitoring, and radiation/laser safety
