Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a night shift Emergency Department position requiring a FL or compact license and current AHA certifications.

Responsibilities

Work in the Emergency Department of a short-term acute care teaching hospital
Night shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts from 18:45 to 07:15
Required to work two weekends per month
Will float as needed among three local hospital campuses within a 20-mile radius
Patient population includes adults and children seen in the ER
Uses Epic EMR system; prior experience with Epic is required
No on-call requirements
Night shift RNs provide comprehensive care for a diverse emergency patient population
RNs will prioritize completion of time-sensitive online modules after assignment confirmation
Facility has a strict smoke-free policy
White scrubs are required for this position
All requested time off must be submitted up front; additional requests may not be approved
First-time travelers are welcome to apply
Local candidates are accepted at the same rate
Free parking is available on site
Assignments at any Cleveland Clinic location may not exceed 18 consecutive months, with a required 6 month break before returning

Requirements

Active FL or Compact RN license required at time of consideration
Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department RN experience required
Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required at time of consideration
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification must be obtained prior to start
Epic EMR experience at a level 3 or 4 required
All candidates must be nicotine-free and pass a 10-panel drug screen with cotinine testing
