Job Description

American Traveler is hiring a RN for a Med/Surg Oncology position in California requiring a minimum of two years' specialty experience and Cerner charting proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Work in a Medical Surgical Oncology unit in a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts per week, including weekdays and weekends
• Typical shift hours are 7:00pm to 7:30am
• Contract length is 13 weeks
• Cerner EMR is used, previous experience required
• No blocked or self-scheduling available
• No RTO (requested time off) permitted within the first two weeks of the assignment
• Candidates must have been away from facility for at least one year to be eligible for rehire as a traveler
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate
• First time travelers are welcome to apply
• All time off and scheduling requests must be provided at initial consideration

Requirements

• Current and valid CA RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum two years of recent Medical Surgical Oncology experience required
• At least one year of acute care experience required
• Cerner charting experience required
• Pass/fail EKG exam with up to three attempts allowed
• References must include at least one supervisory reference from the last year and one additional professional reference from the past two years
