Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an Occupational Therapist with at least 2 years of US hospital experience and a current OT license for a full-time, weekday assignment.

Responsibilities

• Position is in a hospital setting
• Schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• 40 hours per week with occasional weekend coverage (typically once a month)
• Potential to work one holiday if needed
• Responsibilities include patient assessment, developing age-appropriate plans of care, and documenting treatment
• Member of an interdisciplinary healthcare team
• Adaptability to new and changing work assignments is necessary
• CPI certification mandated for this position
• Accepts only travelers; local candidates and previous employees within the radius are not eligible

Requirements

• Current, active Occupational Therapist license required
• Minimum 2 years of occupational therapy experience in a US hospital
• Degree from an A.O.T.A. accredited school required
• Current BLS certification from AHA required
• Must reside at least 100 miles from the facility (no local candidates within 50 miles)
• Must have an active license at time of consideration (no pending licenses)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills required
• References from two managers or supervisors preferred, with at least one from the most recent employer
• COVID and Flu vaccination documentation required
• Valid US Social Security Number required
