Job Description

American Traveler seeks a Physical Therapist with at least 2 years of recent inpatient rehab or acute hospital experience and a current PT license for a full-time contract.

Responsibilities

• Assignment is in an inpatient rehab or acute care setting
• Full-time schedule, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
• Typically 40 hours per week, 8-hour shifts
• Every other weekend availability required, likely one weekend per month
• Must be available to work one holiday if needed
• Responsibilities include comprehensive evaluations, program planning, and administration of treatment for all patients
• Performs detailed clinical assessments and develops age-appropriate plans of care based on findings and physician referral
• Accurately documents patient treatment and adjusts plans as needed based on patient progress
• Must be adaptable and respond effectively to changing assignments within the patient care team
• Part of an interdisciplinary team approach
• AHA certification is required for all certifications submitted
• Scrub or dress code requirements are not specified

Requirements

• Current Physical Therapy (PT) license required; must be active and not pending
• Minimum 2 years of recent inpatient rehab or acute hospital experience in the United States required
• Degree in Physical Therapy required
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association required
• First Aid certification preferred
• Crisis Prevention training (TEAM or CPI) required within 6 months of hire
• State licensure and primary source on-line verification required
• Must provide two manager or supervisor references, with at least one from the most recent employer
• U.S. Social Security Number required for consideration
• Must live at least 50 miles away from the facility; local candidates not accepted
• Copies of all required certifications must be provided upon consideration
• License required if applicable
