Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) night shift position caring for adult and geriatric surgical patients, requiring an OH or compact RN license and recent PCU experience.

Responsibilities

Work in a 22-bed PCU caring for adults and geriatrics
Common patient cases include burns, reconstructive surgeries, urology, GYN, ENT, and oral/maxillofacial surgeries
Special procedures include burn dressings, flap checks, and leech therapy
Uses EPIC for documentation and Pyxis for medication management
Support services include IV/pharmacy, respiratory, PT, social work, transport, and rapid response
12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
Every other or third weekend coverage required
Floating within the health system is required
Main responsibilities include managing post-operative adult and geriatric patients with complex surgical needs
Strong support services are available for clinical and ancillary needs
Holiday and weekend coverage required as scheduled
First-time travelers are welcome to apply

Requirements

Active OH or compact RN license required
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Minimum 2 years of recent PCU experience with similar patient populations
Previous charge RN and teaching hospital experience preferred
