Description

Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Long Term Care position in a skilled nursing facility setting, requiring a current or pending NY RN license.

Responsibilities

Work in a skilled nursing facility within a long term care unit
Night shifts are 8 hours each
Assignment length is 16 weeks, with potential for extension up to 32 weeks
Patient population is primarily long term care residents
Floating to other units is required as needed
Schedule requires a minimum of every other weekend and may be adjusted to meet unit and patient needs
No on-call responsibilities
Bi-weekly orientation sessions are available on Mondays
No block scheduling permitted
All employment gaps over 90 days must be explained
Work environment requires flexibility in scheduling to meet patient care needs
First time travelers are welcome to apply

Requirements

Active NY RN license or proof of application required for consideration
Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience is required
Prior travel nursing experience is preferred but not required
Reliable personal or rental vehicle is strongly recommended due to lack of public transportation
Vehicles should be equipped with all season or snow tires from November to April
