Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Long Term Care position in a skilled nursing facility setting, requiring a current or pending NY RN license.
Responsibilities
- Work in a skilled nursing facility within a long term care unit
- Night shifts are 8 hours each
- Assignment length is 16 weeks, with potential for extension up to 32 weeks
- Patient population is primarily long term care residents
- Floating to other units is required as needed
- Schedule requires a minimum of every other weekend and may be adjusted to meet unit and patient needs
- No on-call responsibilities
- Bi-weekly orientation sessions are available on Mondays
- No block scheduling permitted
- All employment gaps over 90 days must be explained
- Work environment requires flexibility in scheduling to meet patient care needs
- First time travelers are welcome to apply
Requirements
- Active NY RN license or proof of application required for consideration
- Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience is required
- Prior travel nursing experience is preferred but not required
- Reliable personal or rental vehicle is strongly recommended due to lack of public transportation
- Vehicles should be equipped with all season or snow tires from November to April
