Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Stepdown RN for a rotating day/night shift assignment, requiring 18 months of stepdown experience and an active OH or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

• Position is in a hospital stepdown unit setting
• Work involves caring for progressive care/stepdown patients
• Day and night shifts required (3x12s, 7:00-19:30 or 19:00-7:30), with the possibility of shift rotation based on operational needs
• Patient care requires ECG rhythm recognition
• Every other holiday coverage is required
• Must complete ECG rhythm recognition and medication safety assessments during orientation
• Holiday coverage required for every other holiday
• Assignments at any single location may not exceed 18 consecutive months, with a 6-month waiting period required between assignments at this health system
• Work hours must be logged through the specified timekeeping system
• Two professional references required for consideration

Requirements

• Active Ohio or compact RN license in hand
• Minimum 18 months of recent stepdown experience required
• Prior permanent or travel stepdown/PCU experience accepted
• American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition and SafeMedicate assessments during orientation
