Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Stepdown unit position requiring 18 months of recent specialty experience and a current OH or compact state RN license.

Responsibilities

• Work in a Stepdown unit within a large hospital setting
• Patient population includes progressive care and stepdown cases
• 3x12 hour shifts with rotating day and night schedules
• Schedule may include variable shifts to meet operational needs
• Required to work at least every other holiday
• An ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment must be completed with acceptable scores during orientation
• Assignments at this health system cannot exceed 18 consecutive months, with a 6-month wait required before a new assignment
• Two professional references are required for consideration

Requirements

• Active OH or compact RN license in hand
• Minimum 18 months of permanent experience in Stepdown or related specialty prior to travel
• Current AHA or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• PCU or Progressive Care experience preferred but not required
