Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiac Progressive Care Unit (CPCU) night shift position requiring a ME or compact RN license and a minimum of three years of nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in a Cardiac Progressive Care Unit (CPCU) with cardiac and med-surg adult telemetry patients
• Night shift schedule: 7:00 pm to 7:00 am
• 13-week assignment with potential every other weekend shifts as needed by department
• Fifty-mile radius rule applies, and local candidates are accepted at a local rate
• Primary responsibilities include providing patient care in accordance with state and hospital policies under direct supervision
• Clinical Leader/Charge Nurse provides direct supervision during assignment
• Expected to work holidays as recognized by the facility: Christmas, New Year's Day, Thanksgiving, Labor Day, Memorial Day, and Fourth of July
• May only work two consecutive 13-week assignments before a mandatory 26-week break is required to return
• Facility may cancel up to three shifts per 13-week assignment due to staffing or census
• Dress code and additional on-site policies provided by facility upon orientation

Requirements

• Active ME or compact RN license required prior to consideration
• Minimum three years of nursing experience required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required within 30 days of hire
• Telemetry experience preferred
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• MOAB or CPI certifications preferred but not required
• Strong communication skills, ability to multi-task, and team player attitude are essential
