Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an Occupational Therapist with at least 1 year of acute care experience for a day shift position in an acute care hospital setting.
Responsibilities
- Work in an acute care hospital with 277 staffed beds
- Day shift, 5x8 hours, Sunday through Thursday with a 7:30 AM start time
- Serve diverse patient populations with acute and chronic disorders
- Expectation to float between all facilities within the state and between like units
- Epic EMR is used and Epic experience is required
- First-time travelers are accepted
- 16 hours of orientation provided
- Scrubs should be solid color, avoiding royal blue
- Free parking available
- Former perm staff must wait at least 3 months to return as travelers and cannot live within 50 miles of the facility
- All RTO must be included at the time of submittal
- Travelers are expected to float between all facilities as needed
Requirements
- Active Occupational Therapist license required if applicable
- Minimum of 1 year recent acute care experience required
- Certification in Manual Therapy and Hand Therapy
- Experience in infection prevention, fall/risk assessment, billing, assessment of functional activities, and acute and chronic disorders
- Two supervisory references covering one year of employment within the last three years in a comparable specialty or setting
- SSN and date of birth required for consideration
- Required certifications must be provided for consideration
- Pending license not accepted
