Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an Occupational Therapist with at least 1 year of acute care experience for a day shift position in an acute care hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Work in an acute care hospital with 277 staffed beds
• Day shift, 5x8 hours, Sunday through Thursday with a 7:30 AM start time
• Serve diverse patient populations with acute and chronic disorders
• Expectation to float between all facilities within the state and between like units
• Epic EMR is used and Epic experience is required
• First-time travelers are accepted
• 16 hours of orientation provided
• Scrubs should be solid color, avoiding royal blue
• Free parking available
• Former perm staff must wait at least 3 months to return as travelers and cannot live within 50 miles of the facility
• All RTO must be included at the time of submittal
• Travelers are expected to float between all facilities as needed

Requirements

• Active Occupational Therapist license required if applicable
• Minimum of 1 year recent acute care experience required
• Certification in Manual Therapy and Hand Therapy
• Experience in infection prevention, fall/risk assessment, billing, assessment of functional activities, and acute and chronic disorders
• Two supervisory references covering one year of employment within the last three years in a comparable specialty or setting
• SSN and date of birth required for consideration
• Required certifications must be provided for consideration
• Pending license not accepted
