Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department night shift position requiring ER charge and triage skills with a NY RN license.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Emergency Room (ER) and serve as House Supervisor in a small community hospital
• Patient census averages 26 with 7 rooms and 8 beds
• Staffing ratio is 1:4 across all shifts
• Combination role includes both direct ER care and house supervision responsibilities
• Night shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts per week, 18:45 to 7:15
• Every other weekend is required
• Triage responsibilities included
• First-time travelers will be considered for this position
• Candidates must live over 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• A maximum of 7 days of requested time off is allowed
• Scrubs of any color are permitted

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required
• 2 years of ER nursing experience required
• ER charge nurse experience required
• House Supervisor experience highly preferred
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS
