Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Cath Lab Technologist with 2-3 years of recent cardiac cath lab and vascular experience, ARRT(R) or RCIS, and proficiency in scrubbing, circulating, and monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Work in a cath lab with shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, 4x10 hours
• Procedures performed include cardiac cath, PCI, fistogram, vascular angiogram, PTA, and PPM implant
• Care for adult patients requiring cardiac and vascular procedures
• Call required at least 7 days per month, including weekends and holidays
• Floats to a smaller campus where independent work may be required
• Uses GE Mac Lab and Cerner charting systems (preferred)
• Experience with IVUS, PFR, IFR, and Philips x-ray machine
• Scrubs provided and daily changes required; lead aprons available as needed
• Duties include assisting with cardiac and vascular procedures, device implants, and interventional cases
• Work may include time at the primary and Wayne campuses
• First-time travelers are accepted for this position
• Parking is available for $50/month and ID badge is $20
• No blocked scheduling allowed
• Scrubs must be changed daily according to facility policy
• Travelers living within 50 miles of the facility are subject to a local rate differential

Requirements

• Current ARRT(R) (NJ license required) or RCIS
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• 2-3 years of current cath lab (CV) experience required
• Cardiac cath lab and vascular procedural experience required
• Experience with pacemaker (PPM) implants and vascular interventions required
• Must be proficient in scrubbing, circulating, and monitoring for invasive procedures
• Familiarity with GE Mac Lab and Cerner preferred
• Neuro experience preferred
• Must be comfortable working independently as the only tech at times
