Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit) travel position in Illinois requiring 2 years of recent PACU experience and a valid IL RN license.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Post Anesthesia/Recovery Room of a hospital setting
• Day shift schedule from 7:00 am to 5:30 pm
• PACU patient population recovering from anesthesia and surgical procedures
• Assignment is 9 weeks in duration
• Local candidates may be considered with a 50 mile radius rule for pay adjustment
• Daily responsibilities include managing patient recovery post-anesthesia and closely monitoring for complications
• Candidates must be prepared to work collaboratively with surgical and anesthesia teams
• Candidates are allowed two attempts for EKG testing; if not passed, they may reapply after 30 days
• First-time travelers will be considered for this position

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required at the time of consideration
• Minimum of 2 years of recent PACU nursing experience
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• Completion of EKG testing is required prior to assignment
• US Social Security Number required for consideration
