Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a High Risk OB Ultrasound Technologist with ARDMS OB certification, BLS, and at least 1 year of relevant experience for an outpatient maternal fetal medicine clinic.

Responsibilities

• Position is at an outpatient maternal fetal medicine clinic specializing in high risk OB/GYN cases
• Work schedule is 8-hour day shifts from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday
• No weekend, call, or holiday requirements
• Caseload averages 6-7 patients per day per sonographer
• Patient population includes multiple gestations, TTTS assessments, AMA, fetal anomalies, and pre-existing maternal health conditions
• May be asked to rotate to an affiliated clinic site in Kenilworth
• Uses GE ultrasound machines (E8 and Expert 22), Trophon, and EMR systems including Epic and ASOBGYN
• The role focuses on providing high quality ultrasound imaging and support for maternal fetal medicine patients
• Support team includes nurses, peer sonographers, MA, receptionist, and provider or NP support
• MFM physicians are on-site except on Thursday mornings when advanced practice providers cover mostly follow-up cases
• First-time travelers are welcome for this assignment
• Comprehensive 1-week orientation provided and adjusted based on experience
• Scrub colors are grey and black
• Free parking is available on-site
• Returning employees must have a separation of at least 1 year from any prior permanent employment at AHSE facilities

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as an ultrasound technologist in high risk OB/GYN settings
• Current ARDMS OB certification required
• BLS certification required
• Fetal Echo certification preferred
• Ability to perform specialized high risk OB/GYN scans including nuchal translucency, umbilical artery and MCA Dopplers, and advanced cardiac views
• Experience with Epic EMR is preferred
• Must provide last 4 of SSN and full DOB for consideration
• Must provide at least one recent professional reference from a supervisor or above
• Travelers must live 50 miles or more from the facility
• Active license required if applicable
