Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN with a current CA license, BLS, and ACLS for a 13-week assignment with flexible floating requirements.
Responsibilities
- Work in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) within a hospital setting
- Day shift schedule: three 12-hour shifts from 7:00 to 19:30
- Requires working every other weekend and as unit needs dictate
- On-call duties may be required as needed
- May be asked to float to other units within scope of practice or to other campuses based on need and census
- Travelers should anticipate up to 1.5 hours notice for shift changes; a shuttle is provided if floating between campuses
- Duties include delivering comprehensive critical care to ICU patients
- Flexibility to float is a key expectation for all travelers
- Only one holiday request off will be approved during assignment
- Lab work must be completed within 3-5 days of contract signing
- Support is provided for floating between campuses
Requirements
- Active CA RN license required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum of 3 years recent ICU RN experience required
- Must have at least one year of travel nursing experience
- Must comply with a 50-mile radius rule from primary residence
- Returning staff must not have worked at the facility within the past year
