Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an ICU position in California requiring a minimum of three years of ICU and neuro patient care experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in an ICU setting with a high volume of neuro patients
• Day shift, three 12-hour shifts per week from 07:00 to 19:30
• Weekend shifts required every other weekend and as needed for unit coverage
• May float to other units within scope of practice as well as to other campuses as needed
• On-call responsibilities as needed
• Travelers will receive advance notice of 1.5 hours for floating and shuttle service is provided between campuses
• RNs must be comfortable managing complex neuro ICU cases
• Returning employees must have been gone for at least one year before returning as a traveler
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
• Only one holiday time-off request will be approved per contract
• Availability for required lab work within 3-5 days of signing is mandatory

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum three years of recent ICU RN experience with neuro patient proficiency required
• Must have prior experience as a traveler for at least one year
