Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an ICU position in California requiring a minimum of three years of ICU and neuro patient care experience.
Responsibilities
- Work in an ICU setting with a high volume of neuro patients
- Day shift, three 12-hour shifts per week from 07:00 to 19:30
- Weekend shifts required every other weekend and as needed for unit coverage
- May float to other units within scope of practice as well as to other campuses as needed
- On-call responsibilities as needed
- Travelers will receive advance notice of 1.5 hours for floating and shuttle service is provided between campuses
- RNs must be comfortable managing complex neuro ICU cases
- Returning employees must have been gone for at least one year before returning as a traveler
- Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
- Only one holiday time-off request will be approved per contract
- Availability for required lab work within 3-5 days of signing is mandatory
Requirements
- Active CA RN license required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum three years of recent ICU RN experience with neuro patient proficiency required
- Must have prior experience as a traveler for at least one year
