Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift position in an inpatient rehabilitation unit, requiring an active IL RN license and expertise in EPIC charting.

Responsibilities

• Serve in the Comprehensive Rehab Center within an inpatient rehab hospital setting
• Work with adult patients requiring physical rehabilitation or managing chronic illnesses
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week
• Utilizes EPIC charting system
• No local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary rehabilitation team to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Provide patient education and support to promote rehabilitation and self-care skills
• Participate in rehabilitation rounds and ongoing patient/family teaching
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation on patient care
• Maximum of 7 days RTO allowed per 13-week contract
• Candidates may not be on assignment with Carle Health for more than 1 year without a 6-month break
• Scrub color or dress code requirements are not specified

Requirements

• Active Illinois RN license, temporary license accepted
• Minimum of one year relevant inpatient nursing experience required; three years preferred
• Associate's degree in nursing required; BSN preferred
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Experience with EPIC electronic medical records required
• Experience in a Level 1 Trauma setting required
