Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Med/Surg assignment requiring Level 1 Trauma and Epic charting experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital Medical-Surgical unit caring for a diverse adult patient population
• Night shifts from 7:00pm to 7:30am, three 12-hour shifts per week
• Uses Epic EMR system, Epic experience required
• Must have experience in a Level 1 Trauma setting
• No on-call or travel partner options are accepted
• Responsible for managing a group of assigned patients and providing care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Participation in unit-based and institutional policies and philosophies is expected
• Documentation of all aspects of care must be accurate and up to date to facilitate team communications
• Initial patient assessments, care planning, and regular care updates are required
• May not exceed seven days of requested time off during the 13-week contract
• Travelers may not be on assignment at this facility for more than one year without a 6-month break
• Scrub or dress code was not specified

Requirements

• Active Illinois RN license in good standing; temporary license accepted
• Minimum of one year of relevant Medical-Surgical nursing experience
• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ASN) required, BSN preferred
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Epic charting and Level 1 Trauma experience required
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility
